Employment Figures Crunched
And some cheeky cross-promotion
I had a whale of a time knee deep in the jobindsats.dk looking at which industries have foreign national workers for The International magazine.
Read all about it: Who Keeps Denmark Running. A little teaser, if you still haven’t clicked, IS there a tech skills shortage? IS there? I don’t bloody think there is.
Also, I am very excited about this, so let me gush a bit even though it is very much off-topic. I have been jealous of big cities with cool workshops and thinking, boy oh boy, I wish we had something like that in Aarhus. Long story short, I will be running some writing workshops for the next four Saturdays this May. Here’s the blurb:-
Sign up for the four sessions but drop-in whenever you like.
After a short discussion about what projects we are working on and where we want to improve, there will be a writing exercise to work on particular areas. No pressure to do the exercise, if writing exercises aren’t your thing, you can just get on with writing your project your way.
After a short break, we will have a chance to share what we are working on: it could be poetry, prose, play scripts, personal essays or something else that does not start with ‘p’. There is no pressure to share anything and before we share anything, we will discuss what sort of feedback we are looking for. It could be about the use of language, the rhythm of the words, characterisation, pace and so on, to avoid getting feedback we cannot use such as “I like it!” or “that didn’t work for me!”
So, if you’re in Aarhus in May, come and join us in The Artistic Square to get some writing done.
